Day 1: GUWAHATI - BHALUKPONG (250 km/4 hrs)

Welcome to North-East. Our representative will receive you from the Airport or Railway station & directly proceed to Bhalukpong. En-route enjoy the scenic beauty around the Brahmaputra River and take photographs.

Bhalukpong - It has dense lush green forests and has immense scenic beauty. On Reaching Bhalukpong check in the hotel, take rest and explore the local market in the evening where you can see countless options for food and various popular cuisines. From Indian to Chinese to Tibetan and Continental cuisine, Bhalukpong's menu has everything on its list.

Overnight stay at Bhalukpong.

Day 2: BHALUKPONG - DIRANG (180 km/5 hrs)

After breakfast we leave for Dirang, the land of the Monpa tribe. Dirang is also famous for its apple orchards, sheep breeding farms and natural hot springs. Enroute visit Tippi Orchid Centre and Sessa Orchid Sanctuary dirang dzong. Most part of the road skirts besides the Kameng river, passing occasionally through thick tropical forests. Overnight at Dirang

Day 3: Dirang to Tawang via Sela Pass (200 km/6 hrs)

After breakfast at Dirang, depart for a fascinating drive to tawang. The road moves along the Dirang River for 10 kms and then the road climbs towards Sela Pass.

Situated at an altitude of 14,000 ft. this route to Sela Pass from Dirang is sparsely populated and the forest cover is alpine. This famous pass is covered with snow for most of the year as is the Paradise Lake, a small lake, hot water spring, jaswant ghar memorial . The drive now gets bewitching with piercing snow peaks towering above you, waterfalls (some frozen) at every corner and a gushing Nuranang river accompanying you on your way. Overnight at Tawang.

Day 4: Explore Tawang - Tawang — PTSO Lake, Bumla and Madhuri Lake

Visit the famous PTSO Lake, Madhuri Lake and Bumla Pass. For this you need to obtain a special pass and also need to hire a separate vehicle. Permit for Bumla and China Border will have to be obtained one day prior to the date of journey. Night, stay in Tawang.

PTSO Lake: Pangang Teng Tso Lake, one of the most famous lakes of Arunachal Pradesh, is located at a distance of 18 kilometre from Tawang Township. Popularly known as P.T. Tso Lake, this lake is one of the ideal spots for picnic. The word 'Tso' in Monpa dialect means Monpa. During the winter months, the lake remains entirely frozen. Land records say the lake was created by a flash flood following the 1950 earthquake in the region. But, many come here to see Madhuri Lake. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 5: TAWANG - BOMDILA - 5 h 45 min (170.2 km)

After breakfast drive to Bomdila before that visit the legendary 400 year - old monastery at Tawang.

The Tawang monastery was founded by the Merak Lama Lodre Gyatso in 1681 in accordance to the wishes of the 5th Dalai Lama, Nagwang Lobsang Gyatso, and has an interesting legend surrounding its name, which means "Chosen by Horse". Also visit Urgelling Monastery, situated 5 km to the south of Tawang Township, a place of misty mountains, lush forest, apple orchards and Buddhist monasteries.

War Memorial: Tawang War Memorial, a 40 foot high multi-hued memorial, has a structure constructed in stupa design. Dedicated to the martyrs of Sino-India War held in 1962, this memorial is nestled among beautiful peaks, which overlooks the Tawang-Chu valley. Popularly known as Namgyal Chorten, the memorial has names of 2,420 dead soldiers.

Bomdila , the district HQ of the West Kameng district, is located at a height of 2,530m. Catch up on the sights you might have missed out before. In the evening experience the local flavor —head out on walks and interact with the locals to enhance your experience. Overnight at Bomdila.

Day 6 : Bomdila - Tezpur (360 km/6 hrs)

After breakfast check out from hotel & proceed to Modern day Tezpur, the headquarter of Sonitpur district of Assam is said to be erstwhile Sonitpur, the Kingdom of legendary King Banasura. According to the legend when Lord Krishna's army and Banasura's army fought for the rescue of Aniruddha (grandson of Lord Krishna) who married Banasura's daughter `Usha' against the will of her father there was so much bloodshed that the whole place was stained in red. This prompted to the name of the place becoming Tezpur (means the City of Blood). Modern Tezpur was founded by the British colonial administration in 1835 as the headquarters of Darrang

Arrive Tezpur and check in at hotel rest of the day at leisure

Day 7 : Tezpur to Shillong 5 h 6 min (243.7 km)

After Breakfast you will proceed towards Shillong en route covering some of the sightseeing. You could also take selfies and photo sessions. SHILLONG- The capital of the state of Meghalaya and home to the Khasi tribe. Shillong has rightly earned the sobriquet of "Scotland of the East" owing to the rolling hills, beautiful scenery and climate.

On the way to Shillong you will visit the beautiful Umiam lake, a major tourist attraction where you can have lunch also, It is located just before entering to Shillong. Reach hotel and check in, after some leisure you can also visit local market to enjoy the local cuisines and night life of the city. Later in the evening have your dinner and overnight stay at Hotel in Shillong.

Day 8 : Shillong - Full Day City Tour

Today after breakfast get ready to get a full day city tour of Shillont„ The capital city of Meg Jaya- Shillong, fondly known as the Scotland of the East. Shillong attractions –

Don bosco centre Indigenous Cultures Shillong :- The Don Bosco Museum of Indigenous Cultures at DBCIC (Don Bosco Centre for Indigenous Cultures) is Asia's largest Museum of Indigenous Cultures of its kind. In it the visitor can have an overview of the whole of North East India.(Closed on Sunday) (if time permits)

Lady Hydari Park: - Beautiful Park in the heart of the town. Lady Hydari Park, owes its existence to the erstwhile nature loving first lady of the state, Lady Hydari the wife of Governor of Assam (It used to be a big state). This mini zoo clubbed with a deer park stretches for more than one Kilometer and presents some of the best grown and bred rose beds. The roses and blossoms are of tasteful tones and colours. The park has been very passionately maintained and also provides a special play arena for the tiny tots. The combination of the zoo, Park and beautiful stretches of flower beds makes it an ideal location for young couples but also for the families to spend some quality time together.

The Laitlum canyons are literally translated as 'End of Hills', or 'Edge of the World'. And it is fact that Laitlum nestled at great heights, and is surrounded by vast rocky hills and valleys.

Ward's Lake - Located in the heart of the city, this horse-shoe shaped lake is a popular spot to take a lazy walk or admire the green lawn dotted with multi-colored flowers. Named after Sir William Ward, the then Chief Commissioner of Assam, who initiated the plan for the construction of this lake, which was later constructed by Colonel Hopkins in the year 1894, this lake is nature at its very best.

After completing all the sightseeing some leisure you can also visit local market to enjoy the local cuisines. Later in the evening proceed towards to Shillong and overnight stay at Hotel Shillong.

Day 9 : Shillong - MAWLLYNNONG VILLAGE -DAWKI

After breakfast and check out from the hotel and proceed towards Mawllynnong Village the cleanest village in Asia on the way

Mawllynnong, a picturesque village located in East Khasi Hills along the India-Bangladesh border. Declared as the cleanest village in Asia by Discover India magazine in 2003, the modestly existing Mawllynnong has alternatively been known as 'God's own garden' too. go for a short trek of the village and see the Khasi way of life and meet the locals. You can visit Balancing Rock, Sky Walk, Bangladesh View point and the longest Living Root bridge. From there drive

Dawki and river Umgnot, with pictures of crystal clear waters popular in the social media. You can have a bath over here,enjoy local boating. On the way to Dawki you can enjoy the view of Borhill Falls and Kyram Falls.

Single Decker Bridge - Right at the midway while going downhill, you'll get a different path, indicating the route towards Single Decker Living Root Bridge. (if time permits)

Shillong Peak -(Opening Time 9:00am to 5:00pm) Situated at an elevation of about 1965 m above sea level, Shillong Peak gives a scenic view to the visitors. Beautiful landscape, lush greenery and the serene environment attracts large numbers of tourists. Shillong peak is actually one of the highest points of the state and is therefore regarded as a highly famous Shillong attraction. In the evening time, the city appears even more beautiful.

Elephant falls - Renamed as Elephant Falls by the British, who found it difficult to pronounce the local name, the waterfall is believed to have gotten its name from a huge elephant-shaped rock near it. Though the rock was destroyed in an earthquake, the name remained. Make the best use of this waterfall and shed your inhibitions to take a dip in cold, clear water.

After completing the entire sightseeing proceed back towards Cherrapunjee for overnight stay.

Day 10 : Back to Home - Drop at Guwahati Airport

After breakfast check out your hotel go for sightseeing :-

Umananda Devaloi is a Shiva temple located at the Peacock Island in the middle of river Brahmaputra. It was built by the Ahom King Gadadhar Singha (1681-1696), who was a devout Shaivaite. It is known as smallest inhabited riverine island in the world. Country boats that are available on the bank of Brahmaputra take the visitors to the island. The mountain on which the temple has been built is known as Bhasmacala.

Explore the the Botanical Garden, also famous as Assam Zoo. It is spread across 432 acre and home to approx 900 animals, birds and reptiles covering almost 113 species. If time permits, you can also explore the local places.

After completing the sightseeing proceed towards to your return journey, will drop you at Guwahati Airport here is your trip will be end with a happy Note.
